The Opportunity

The role will be to support the launch of new products from prototype development through pre-production and into Mass production. Initially supporting the prototype development team with BOM creation, schedule release to suppliers, change management and procurement of parts to meet an MRD with a transition from prototype into the pre-production phase as required helping facilitate end to end alignment on new product launch processes and physical requirements, ensuring lessons are acted upon, key change points are validated and solutions are tested to ensure each programme launch is improved upon and customer requirements met.

Key Performance Indicators KPI’s to be tailored dependent on Project/ Programme: Health and Safety Schedules released to our supply base with a 12-week lead time. Supplier commitment for delivery within 1 week of schedule release All parts within scope are promised for MRD. All parts within scope are received by MRD. PLQOS Performance Project status and action planning Process confirmation Delivery Performance Build performance pack. Key Interactions Manufacturing including MPM, Man Eng, Plant operations. Product Development including Prototype build and preparation, Engineering and programme teams. Purchasing Department Supply Chain teams Supplier base including freight and logistics providers.

Knowledge Skills and Experience

Essential: Presentation skills (verbal and written) Strong IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint, Power Point and Excel Experience of working to KPI’s Customer focus driven. Strong relationship building skills. Experience within a material planning function Experience in working within a manufacturing/ automotive environment.

Desirable:

Experience with using Microsoft Access, PowerApps, Visio, Tableau and SAP Relevant previous experience of material planning within a prototype manufacturing environment Experience with working on MRP systems Personal Profile A person with the ability to manage and prioritise their workload. A good communicator with the ability to communicate complex ideas.
