I am now working exclusively with a large manufacturing and production company located in Sheffield who due to recent expansion are now looking to recruit a Quality Manager, for their Sheffield factory. This position will report directly into the Operations Manager responsible for all on site Quality Assurance and CI Improvements.

Client Details

Due to a company restructure my client are now looking to recruit a new, Quality Assurance Manager to Maintain quality systems and certification. Located in Sheffield, my client are a engineering organisation who supply products across the UK. The business currently operate out of this site based in South Yorkshire. This position will be based on a days position reporting into the Operations Manager.

Description

Reporting into the Operations Manager as the Quality Assurance Manager you will be fully responsible for all quality management systems including certifications and Improvements. You will be based at the Sheffield, South Yorkshire Site, with no travel expected. This role will be part of the Senior Team but will not have any Quality Engineers direct reports, and as the Quality Manager you will be challenged to improve current quality standards and procedures.

Other duties include:

• Maintain quality systems and certification; manage internal and external audits of company processes (ISO 9001).
• Manage the Improvement & Defect System – improve response time and actions.
• Identify, design and drive improvement projects focused at achieving group wide objectives.
• Establish and implement the necessary communication strategy for the improvement and awareness of quality issues within site and the group.
• Improve the internal audit programme and ensure it is adopted to verify that the QMS conforms to planned expectations.
• Identify, train and support team members and employees with potential to develop to ensure a clear succession plan.

Profile

To apply for the Quality Assurance Manager, based in Sheffield you will have:

• Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001.
• Lead audit qualification.
• Authority and duty to instruct immediately the cessation of any activity judged to be unsafe.
• Be able to deliver examples where you have driven improvement projects from concept to delivery.
• Be able to train and coach new / existing departmental employees in quality philosophies, techniques and improvement methodologies.
• Be an outstanding communicator with the ability to explain and present to all levels of business.

Job Offer

£40,000 to £50,000 with strong progression opportunities.
