Remote Working Tutor – English (or English & French)

About the Role We are seeking a highly organised, good / outstanding practitioner to join our rapidly growing team of dedicated tutors within our Languages Department. You will be qualified to degree level in English and have some teaching experience. A teaching qualification and QTS / QTLS status is highly desirable for this role, while the ability to teach French as a second subject would also be advantageous. You will be delivering lessons online, both to individuals and to groups, for our international client base. You will have the passion and experience to create differentiated and engaging lessons for students aged between 8 and 16. You will take a student-centred approach and build positive relationships with students, while also ensuring that the commitment to excellence is demonstrated through lessons which are thoroughly planned and appropriately challenging. Lesson time must be used effectively, and students’ progress should inform your ongoing planning. Flexibility is essential, as some evening and weekend teaching will be required due to the global nature of our business. You will be highly organised, capable of developing your own resources, and able to respond to the needs of the business by adapting your schedule on a weekly basis in line with the availability of our students. You will write monthly reports and participate in tutor training as required. You will be a team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to adapt to the needs of the business and your students. You will understand the challenges which accompany online tutoring, and you will have the resilience and patience to work through technical and connectivity issues with professionalism. You will continue to develop as a practitioner, and regular reviews will be conducted with the Senior Leadership Team, so you are supported to be your best.
