Your new team
Nest Insight is a collaborative research and innovation think tank. We’re working to understand the challenges people face in saving for their later lives, and to develop and test solutions to those challenges.
Although we sit within Nest and draw learnings from the rich set of data Nest is building, we also work across the industry with other providers, from pensions, banking, fintech and beyond. We share all our work widely to influence industry and policy makers in the UK and internationally.
We do this through an ambitious programme of research, trials, events and publications, delivered in partnership with academics, think tanks, government and the industry. Nest Insight has quickly become a leading and respected voice in the sector.
Nest insight is a business unit of Nest Corporation, but we are responsible for raising our own operating budget through grants and sponsorship. We have a team of 11 working across research, communications and partnerships. This is an exciting time to join Nest Insight – we’re growing quickly with lots of exciting projects in the pipeline and plans to expand our reach significantly over the next three years.
Your new role
We are now looking to recruit a Research Trials Manager, with the expertise and ambition to manage an exciting programme of trialling activity, reporting to Nest Insight’s Director of Research and Innovation.
The Research Trials Manager will help shape our research trials under one or more of our active research programmes, including:
our new sidecar savings opt out trial
technology-based savings trials
This role will report to and work closely with the Director of Research and Innovation. It will also involve supporting and working closely with other members of the Nest Insight team, including reporting regularly to the Nest Insight management team, supporting the Head of Development with funder reporting and supporting the Communications Manager in building awareness of our work
This role will be required to build strong relationships with and manage stakeholders across all departments of Nest and with external partners, including research collaborators and funders.
Be comfortable managing large and complex research projects involving multiple partners
Work effectively at different levels across different organisations, building strong working relationships
Have sound understanding and application of research ethics, data protection and information security principles
Develop high quality research trial design, research materials and data collection strategy; analyse the data and produce compelling reporting of the results
Communicate clearly, concisely and impactfully across a range of media with communication tailored to audience and objective
What you’ll need to succeed
This role will involve working across different project workstreams, so the ability to prioritise effectively and then deliver is essential. You will have relevant educational qualifications in behavioural economics or behavioural science, or equivalent practical experience. You will have an outstanding professional attitude and mentality, a sense of awareness and emotional intelligence and a commitment to team working, diversity and inclusion. You will be passionate about improving financial wellbeing and longer-term financial security for people on low to mid incomes.

This is a 1-year FTC salary up to £48,000 plus Benefits.
This role can be offered on a flexible basis and we will consider job share, part time or full-time basis. We are open to different level of applicants in terms of knowledge and skillset.
