Sales and Marketing Manager (B2B) required by our client, a niche instructor led ICT training courses provider. Providing courses to large businesses in all sectors and writing their own courses focussed on technologies rather than products they have a unique place in the market with a name known for providing quality training.
Now providing online live training courses our client is looking for a Sales and Marketing Manager to grow the company and develop a strategy to monetise the new training resources and increase sales. Experience of sourcing opportunities for selling online or digital assets and subscription models would be highly advantageous.
*You will manage the sales team to hit and exceed company targets and to develop/start marketing to generate more sales.
*Lead the sales team by providing guidance, training and mentorship, setting sales targets and goals, creating sales plans, analysing data. Ensuring sales team meet sales targets.
*You should know how to sell and have previously had a sales role but this position does not require selling just managing the team.
*Ideally with a Training background
*The role would require the person to re-introduce running google adverts (either themselves, through a third party) and longer term produce a complete marketing strategy for the company and hence previous marketing experience is desired.
*Ideally degree educated or equivalent.
*You will have experience of management, sales and marketing.
*Proficient use of MS Office.
*Previous use of a CRM (the client uses Pipedrive).
*Ability to write proposals – you will be the key resource for this.

Sales Manager role and responsibilities
*Overseeing day to day activities of the sales team.
*Meeting planned sales targets.
*Tracking sales targets and reporting results as necessary.

*Meet with account managers one-on-one weekly, to review performance, progress, and targets.
*Monthly meeting with whole sales team.
*Input and attend quarterly meetings.
*Deliver deep performance reviews for each individual account manager once or twice per year.
*Weekly meeting with MD to discuss previous week and upcoming week.
*Coach individual account managers one-on-one through phone work and prospecting help. sessions to help them improve sales performance.
*Counsel, support and discipline underperforming sales representatives.
*Ensure representatives adhere to sales process correctly.
*Ensure that the team use sales technologies, such as a CRM, correctly.
*Plan and implement training programs. Hold regular skills training sessions with internal or external sales trainers.
*Hold team building events onsite or offsite
*Recruit, select, onboard, and train new sales account managers.
*Motivate and engage the sales team with monetary and non-monetary (intrinsic) motivational tools.
*Unite the team: Ensure account managers work as a positive unit and share their best practices.
*Set a good example for the team. Work according to company culture and values, prioritise, use good communication, and deliver results effectively.
*Ensure the sales team remain aligned with company values and expectations.
*Monitor all orders, bookings and provisional bookings.
*Do the monthly calculations for commissions earnt by sales staff for payroll.
