Senior Site Reliability EngineerLondon, Bristol OR Manchester (1 day per week on site)Day rates: £700-750 per day 9 months INSIDE IR35

Concept Resourcing are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join a Central Government client based in London/Bristol OR Manchester. This is an initial 9 month contract with a possible extension. The role is INSIDE IR35. Day rates between £700-750 per day, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate must have the following experience;

• Can demonstrate a working familiarity with at least one programming language such as Ruby, Java, Python, Javascript, Go (we use Python on Notify)
• Are experienced with AWS, in particular ECS
• Are experienced in using Terraform to manage cloud infrastructure
• Are experienced with relational databases (we use Postgres on Notify)
• Are experienced in building and running CI/CD pipelines (we use Concourse on Notify)
• Have experience in building and operating monitoring solutions, especially Prometheus and Grafana
• Are experienced with UNIX-like operating systems and technologies used for web applications, e.g Linux, backups, CDNs, message queues
• Understand software design principles
• Take a systematic approach to solving problems
• Use automated testing to validate solutions
• Understand agile environments and version control
• Are familiar with web security
• Understand network protocols, eg HTTPS, TLS etc
• Have familiarity with working practices such as test driven development, continuous integration and continuous delivery
• Have experience of leading teams and projects
• Have experience of line management
• Help colleagues with their career development and coaching more junior staff members
