Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit 2x Scrum Masters for initial 6 month contracts on a rate of c.£450/day (outside of IR35). Due to the current circumstances these roles will be remote based for the foreseeable future.

Responsibilities:

Guide and coach the team on how to deliver high value, high quality products and services, at pace, using Agile practices and principles
Get the team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques
Coach the team in self-organisation, cross-functional skill set, domain knowledge
Assist the team to communicate effectively, both internally and externally, improving transparency within the team, across the teams and with stakeholders and the wider business, building and maintaining trust
Driving the identification and resolution of team impediments, or support the team to remove impediments. Work with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Agile in the organization
Work closely with Product Owner to ensure team effectiveness
Facilitate and supports all team events: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-Up, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective
Encourage and facilitate continuous improvement of the delivery team

Essential Skills:

A demonstrable and evidenced drive to deliver
Ability to co-ordinate, communicate and influence to achieve outcomes within a positive working environment – strong stakeholder management skills
Take a benefits/value driven approach, with the ability to identify and measure benefits, and target delivery towards the achievement of benefits
Experienced in utilising a variety of agile and lean practices including Scrum, Kanban and Dual Track Agile Delivery
Planning
Risk management within an agile context
Scrum Master certification
Jira experience
