Role Spec

• SAP Last Mile Distribution – SAP LMD is the new product in S/4, replacing SAP DSD in ECC
• Essential SAP DSD/SAP mDSD experience is relevant (if it includes settlement and journey scheduling)
• Additional SAP LE and SD previous experience is useful. LE is logistics execution. 5 to 10 years additional to 5 years distribution experience
• End of journey settlement – deliveries, payment (cash receipts), returns – updating core ERP
• CPG experience
• Or Retail or distributor experience
• Able to present in workshops, or failing that to coach in workshops
• Experience implementing solutions in more than one country
• A candidate with experience in SAP TM – Advanced Transportation Management – could also be a potential fit.
• Note: experience of Basic SAP transportation management is not enough. Needs to know Advanced (ie pallet, load and route optimiser)
• Business application consultant, not a developer
• Working on SAP distribution/transportation and similar related technologies in this area for over 5 years.
• Experience of other transportation management solutions useful in that 5 years such as osapiens or JDA/Blueyonder/Manhattan. Note: JDA and Manhattan have a full suite of tech so her/his experience has to be the transportation/distribution area (please check in other words)
• Able to articulate and understand and even shape different transportation networks (distributors, 3PLs, 4PLs, trucks within cities, bulk delivery, VMI etc)

Experience in designing and building IT business solutions for-

• Fleet management and scheduling (including sub-con fleets
• Journey scheduling
• Route planning and optimiser based planning
• Load management
• Experience of how to lead discussions on the expected integrations such as mapping products and EWM
