We are working with a major public sector organisation based in London who need an interim capital accountant to join the finance team asap. The role is inside of IR35 and is hybrid working in central London.

As the Senior Capital Accountant you will be responsible for;

• Leading on all capital accounting including interpretation and application of accounting standards and legislation for balance sheet elements
• Review and streamline capital accounting processes
• Work closely FBPs to support service requirements for capital resources
• Develop reporting of capital resourcing availability
• Reporting of balance sheet, highlighting risks and opportunities
• Oversee production of prudential indicators
• Develop and oversee quarterly reporting on Capital Financing Requirement
• Capital statutory returns

Successful candidates will need to hold a full accounting qualification and have substantial experience of capital projects and reporting from large organisations within the public and private sectors. This role requires an immediate start so candidates will need to be available on short notice.
