Role: Remote Debt Advice SpecialistLocation: Trafford/Home BasedType: Full Time/PermanentSalary: £27,000pa (increasing to £30,000 after 6 months’ probation) Hours: 08:00-20:00 as set weekly shifts, all given in advance, and we will discuss on our first call. If you are MaPs (Money and Pensions) Trained, you will be offered £30,000pa from your start date.

Full training is provided! You will be in training for 3 months – you cannot have holidays booked during this time. Training will be a mixture of in the office and some virtually where you can work from home. Training hours are 09:00-17:30.

Once you have finished training, you only have to be in the office on 1 day a week and work from home the rest of the week. If you are on the ‘late’ shift week, you work from home all week.

You’ll need to be able to roll up your sleeves and get stuck-in; learn quickly (a 3-month training course will be provided!); and who love a challenge.

As a Debt Advice Specialist, you’ll be tasked with a wide range of responsibilities. You’ll be surrounded by amazing people and working in one of the best cultures that you can find.

You’ll need to show you have the customer service experience and demonstrate your confidence, professionalism, enthusiasm, self-motivation, communication skills and attention to detail in the work you do.

Role and Responsibilities

• Approximately 5-6 inbound calls a day, lasting around 60 minutes each.
• Understanding customers’ personal and financial circumstances and how they’ve arrived at their current situation.
• Complete an accurate financial statement using effective questioning techniques.
• Assess the full range of options available and make a suitable recommendation on an appropriate debt solution and budgeting that could support them to become debt free and build financial resilience.
• Prepare and administer appropriate documentation for each of your customers embarking on a debt solution.
• Obtain necessary documentation such as proof of income and creditor reference numbers as appropriate

Essential Criteria

• At least 2 years’ experience of working in a telephone customer focused environment
• Strong communication skills
• The ability to be highly empathetic and build relationships
• Proven ability of achieving objectives
• Strong organisational skills
• Intermediate computer skills

Preferable Criteria

• Previous experience of working in financial services or another regulated environment
