THE ROLE:
Driving the use of automated data quality tools to deliver improvements/assist in providing assurance to management on the quality of data
Develop visual reports and dashboards using Power BI desktop
Connect data sources, import data, and transform data for reporting purposes
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as they relate to data governance
Work alongside all teams in the business to build a strong culture of data ownership
Identify and work with data owners to resolve data quality and governance issues
Advise internally on best practice regarding data management
be aware of the conduct rules as set out by the PRA & FCA Standards of Conduct
comply with the relevant rules/regulations in relation to data protection, financial crime and conduct
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:
Knowledge of data quality and governance related analytical tools
Excellent analytical thinking to support translating data into informative reports and visuals.
Demonstratable experience – Microsoft BI Stack
Advanced data manipulation skills and application of formulae.
Knowledge of how insurance company data sets are used within the business
An ability to “see the wood for trees” especially to understand what constitutes key data for prioritisation purposes
An ability to understand how to implement a strategic approach to identifying, reporting on and correcting data quality issues
Strong stakeholder management skills
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Good interpersonal skills
