Senior Electronics RF Engineer – Radio Frequency – Cadence, ADS, HFSS, MATLAB, or COMSOL
The Role:
The key responsibilities of the Senior RF & Electronics Engineer will be:
Design, develop, and test RF and electronic systems, sensors, and equipment for various industries, including Automotive, Aerospace, and Industrial/Robotics.
Interpret technical specifications, schematics, and engineering drawings to create designs that meet project requirements and industry standards.
Conduct feasibility studies, cost analyses, and risk assessments to identify potential design and development issues and propose alternate solutions.
Lead and mentor Junior RF & Electronics Engineers and collaborate within the team, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and technicians, to ensure successful project completion.
Conduct testing and validation of RF and electronic designs, and analyse test data for calibration, validation, and identify areas for improvement.
Participate in design reviews, and recommend design modifications to improve functionality, reliability, and manufacturability.
Maintain knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, and apply them to improve design and manufacturing processes and product performance.
Work with suppliers to select and qualify components and materials, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
The Person:
You will have:
A deep understanding of electronic circuits, circuits with microcontrollers, and DSP algorithms.
Proficiency in simulation and using analysis tools, such as Cadence, ADS, HFSS, MATLAB, or COMSOL RF, and experience with CAD software, such as Altium.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
A working knowledge of industry standards and regulations, such as FCC, ITU, and MIL-STD.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and propose solutions to complex technical challenges.
Experience in producing technical reports, prototype specifications, and other technical documentation.

Qualifications and Experience
PhD or MSc/MEng degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in RF and electronic engineering with at least three years in a senior position.
A proven track record of designing and developing successful RF and electronic systems and components.
Demonstratable understanding of RF engineering within the UHF bands which includes antenna design, receivers and transmitters, and familiarity with standard RF test equipment such as spectrum and network analysers.
Experience in Qualification standards such as IATF/AEC or AS/DO or equivalents.
