Position Description

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer role will involve liaising and co-ordinating with the infrastructure teams that will be building and configuring the infrastructure changes to ensure that we capture the design and build. You will also be supporting the Architect to oversee, document and prepare the updates to the existing environment to address critical concerns.

The project operates regular ‘rota based’ outages, which a candidate would be part of for the role. The outages take place outside normal working hours with overtime payable.

The work will be as part of a development team based in a hybrid pattern across the Reading, Leatherhead, Bridgend, and Chippenham offices. Commutable distance to once of these offices would be advantageous.

Your future duties and responsibilities
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the following activities:

– Support the team’s Architect to prepare and evaluate solutions for infrastructure problems.
– Produce detailed design documentation, such as HLDs/LLDs and other build and test related documentation.
– Review design, test and implementation plans as directed by the team’s Architect.
– Liaise with Infrastructure Engineers that will be performing infrastructure changes to ensure that we meet the overall project objectives.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will have attributes in the following:

– Technical Documentation
– Infrastructure engineering
– Experience with working on enterprise systems
– Working in a remote team
– Good problem solver with willingness to challenge and/or suggest alternative solutions.
– SQL Server
– General platform knowledge
– Windows and Active Directory
