Senior OT Configuration Engineer
Location: Huntingdon (Temporarily WFH due to COVID-19)
Salary – Circa £35,000
12 month secondment/fixed term – Full time role
37 hours per week + Standby by rota

Our OT team has undergone a transformation over the last 18 months, which has allowed us to enhance the services we deliver and ensure our team are best positioned to play a proactive and value orientated role across our business. Our goal is to exceed customer expectations whilst embracing new technology to drive digital transformation; better connecting our customers, people, assets and information. Following a re-structure, we are providing key team members with opportunities to work on new projects and as a result we are recruiting to back-fill our senior position for a minimum of 12 months.
What will you be doing?
As part of our enhanced OT (Operational Technology) team your role will be varied but will include being:
The shared technical lead on OT configuration processes, standards and on-boarding of new technologies and solutions into BAU service catalogue.
Responsible for defining best practice of OT configuration as well as, performance monitoring and enhancing of QA mechanisms.
Provision of third-line technical support for members of OT configuration and systems teams.
Responsible for technical training and maintenance of technical elements of OT configuration competency.
Deliver project and operational requirements for OT data management on time.
Assist with performance and monitoring of technical competency in team and across contractor-based teams.
Ensure that adequate maintenance manuals, user guides, backup software and any other customer support materials are available.
Support the development and implementation of a training programme for new Configuration Engineers and ensure the team stay up to date and work in line with technical advances.
Act as mentor and support to Configuration Engineers.
A point of escalation and to work with management to provide technical information/solutions to support the resolve of customer complaints.

The below requirements will ideally apply:
Proven experience of working on telemetry & SCADA systems.
Technical competency in Telemetry master system and RTU configuration and fault-finding.
