Senior Social Media Manager

At the WWF, we have achieved tremendous growth across our social media channels in recent years, providing engaging content about our work to more than 1 million people across a range of platforms. As Senior Social Media Manager we want you to help us reach new audiences, deepen our relationships with our supporters and mobilise millions in the UK to support our work to save the planet.
We will look to you to head our organic social media strategy and embed the principles of good social media engagement across the organisation. This will involve leading a small team and working with internal and external stakeholders to develop strategy and content direction for high profile social media campaigns. You will lead the handling of issues and breaking stories on social too. You will also oversee brand health, live campaigns and crisis management issues as well as ensure colleagues maximise our use of social media to engage with our key public audiences. Important in this role will be the ability to build and develop a high performing digital team.
You must have significant experience of creating, implementing and delivering social media channel strategies for a high-profile organisation. You will demonstrate a strong understanding of what content works and does not work for specific social media audiences and channels too. You will be expert at raising reach, engagement and conversion levels on social media, with a particular focus on organic social media. You will also be used to managing social media crisis communications and familiar with using social media community management systems (ideally Falcon) and social media listening tools (ideally Linkfluence).
In addition to your technical skills, you will be a strong project manager, who enjoys collaborative working and possesses a passion for quality and innovation. Good at planning, you will be a good communicator with excellent awareness of the media landscape.
