SENIOR UX DESIGNER – PERMANENT – GLOBAL MULTIMEDIA ORGANISATION – SALARY £45,000 – HYBRID WORKING

As one of the UK’s biggest selling magazine publisher, they create iconic and influential magazine media brands, digital properties and associated consumer and B2B live events for audiences. The core functions of the Digital Product Team are product design and product development.

Your new role
This organisation are looking for a Senior UX designer to lead a small UX team (as part of the overall Product Team) and deliver data driven solutions across a wide array of products, projects, and platforms. You will need to have a solid understanding of all the processes that go into user-centred design and be hands on capable when required with regards to design, prototyping, and organising appropriate research.

Some of your key responsibilities will be:

• Organising and assigning work streams.
• Providing updates and transparency within the product team and wider company.
• Keeping abreast of the best practices with regards to design, UX and accessibility.
• Being entrepreneurial in approach to design challenges.
• Being strongly self-propelled in finding ways to add value to products alongside steering on going works.
• Providing ROI for planned UX works.
• Spotlighting UX at workshops to share the knowledge.
• Organising / recruiting for Usability tests etc.
• Overseeing and in some instances providing the final deliverables.
• Be able to create low fidelity / med and high-fidelity clickable prototypes/UI designs (there is a very strong UI element to this role)
• Rapid efficient problem solving
• Working on multiple on-going projects at once.
• Conducting retrospectives.
• Being a leader and making the users voice heard.

What you’ll need to succeed

• A solid foundation in the principles of UX design
• Experience developing design systems.
• Have a can-do attitude, be self-propelled, a team player and a leader.
• Experience conducting a range of quantitative and qualitative studies that provide insights from conception to release.
• A passion for delivering the best experiences for our users
• Commerical accumen – you will need to understand the financial impact of your recommendations and designs
• You will be a comfortable working with all levels of seniority up to and including C-suite management
• Experience using Sketch, InVision, Figma, Hotjar, HTML/CSS basics, UX Research, Maze, Google Optimize
