What To Expect This is an excellent position for a Software Developer to join an expanding and diverse team which is responsible for the development of Jaguar Land Rover’s future embedded software components, aimed at delivering modern luxury to our customers. The individual will work within an Agile framework with engineers to ensure that valid content is specified and developed.
The Software Developer will also be responsible for organising verification activity to support the Vehicle Health Management applications which meets best software programming practices for quality, cost and time. The engineer selected for this role will work collaboratively across product squads and chapters to deliver industry best practice for software development activities at Jaguar Land Rover.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities • Implement code from low-level design artefacts using recognised repositories, processes and coding practices. • Perform software development discovery for automotive diagnostic applications, working alongside other developers and architects to resolve complex coding problems. • Participate in innovation and workshops (internal and supplier) to define product implementation in line with industry leading standards. • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time. • Partner with developers and tech leads across the enterprise to identify business needs and appropriate technical solutions.
What You Will Need Essential:
• Experience in programming and scripting languages C++
• Knowledge of software development processes, structures / architectures / design patterns • Comfortably integrate into a multi-cultural team and provide an energetic and enthusiastic approach.
• Technically capable of developing, and maintaining full software embedded application (OOP)
• Knowledge of the software development process and industry tool sets
• Experience of planning, co-ordination, delivery incrementally working testable software and reporting of requirements to support the Cycle Plan programmes using Agile
• Knowledge of agile frameworks (SCRUM, Kanban) Knowledge of Embedded operating systems (Linux, QNX Neutrino, etc)
