Special Needs Teaching Assistant
Location: West Leeds
Pay: £70 – £75 Per day
Salary is dependent on experience, training and qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required to be considered for this position is 6 months minumum experience working with Learning Disabilities and Challenging Behaviour in a school or care setting (elderly care not included).
This role will start as soon as pupils fully go back to school.
The role
As a Teaching Assistant at this school you will be responsible for keeping pupils engaged in learning, helping the class teacher to deliver work and also managing some of the challenging behaviour that pupils present with.

Special School in West Leeds that caters for pupils with Learning Disabilities and Autism as well as some pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues.
Requirements
To be considered for the Special Needs Teaching Assistant position, you will:
Have 6 months minimum experience working with young people with Learning Disabilities or Challenging Behaviour
Available Full time Mon-Friday 08:30-15:30
Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to get one
Be Team Teach Trained or be willing to attend our 2 day (free) course
