My client, an Exeter based distribution business is looking for an individual to join their supply chain team on a permanent basis, and with the chance to develop into a more senior member of the team. The successful candidate will manage part of the stock control and expediting responsibility for the department from a diverse range of global suppliers.

Key responsibilities will be:

• Regularly contacting suppliers for delivery information
• Managing purchase order delivery dates
• Updating dates and comments accurately and appropriately
• Working closely with the Supply Management team.

Applicants will need to be personable and have the ability to work with a diverse mix of people, both internally and externally; they will need drive, integrity and motivation to update information critical to business needs and customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will need:

• Good organisational and communication skills
• Good IT skills
• The ability to work on their own initiative
• The ability to analyse and interpret data.
• Candidates will ideally need to be proficient in MS office: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

A supply chain management background is not essential for this role.

Salary up to £24,000 + excellent benefits
