The successful candidate will have responsibility for development of sub-system models, materials models and simulations to predict the response of materials and components within high fluence nuclear radiation environments. This role provides excellent development opportunities and the chance to work with unique facilities both in the UK, and overseas!
Location: Reading area (on-site role)
Package: £33,770 – £47,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

This role is ideally suited to a physicist who enjoys the challenge of performing complex computer simulations and interpreting test data to support code validation.
You will develop and run computer simulations of various sub-components using computational tools and platforms. You will use the results of the analysis to support our core product through life and our experimental programme to ensure the right data is gathered to progress the maturity of the models we use.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and be able to manage their own workload. You will also have initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach, and ability to work to tight deadlines.
Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
