The Desk based Trainer is responsible for ensuring the successful start of the learner journey within their chosen NVQ qualification. The successful candidate will proactively engage with new learners to complete the initial mandatory knowledge units, workbooks and progress reviews to ensure timely progression and success with their qualification. Skills People Group are a national provider of National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) and Pre-Employment Training Programmes. There is a requirement to have experience in the delivery of construction related qualifications. The successful candidate will undertake the following main Duties and Responsibilities: Making contact with learners following their initial enrolment. Be responsible for ensuring that appropriate documentation is completed as required and submitted in both a compliant and timely manner. Provide information, advice and guidance regarding the qualification process and associated matters. Work with learners to complete workbooks and mandatory knowledge units. Manage your time effectively to ensure your assigned caseload receive regular contact in the first 4-6 weeks of their programme. Make contact with employers as required and coordinate meetings with learners. Maintain a forward plan of meetings in order to hit targets and KPI s. Check completed documentation and ensure that it is completed accurately and in full. Log all contact and information onto our MIS system and e-portfolio platform. Preferred experience using e-portfolio s.
