Tutor – Core Subjects – Flexible Hours

Randstad Tuition Services are currently working in conjunction with a Local Authority in the West Midlands to provide experienced Tutors for pupils that have fallen out of the education system.

This is an extraordinary opportunity for aspiring teachers and caring teaching professionals to help support young people and the next generation of adults in the UK. If you have a passion for teaching and tutoring face to face and thrive off seeing your support help a young person then this role is perfect for you.

We are keen to hear from inspiring QTS, NQT’s, Teaching Assistant’s with Level 1-3 qualifications, HLTA certification or graduates who are considering a career within education. Ideally you will have your DBS on the update service, or willing to acquire one.

The tutoring will take place face to face in the Solihull region and can start as soon as we get you registered. Being a freelance tutor gives you excellent work life balance with excellent pay and can help you hone your teaching skills.

Key responsibilities:

• Working with small group cohorts from 1:1 – 1:6
• Creating lesson plans tailored to the student’s learning style
• Assessing student progress, identifying areas for improvement and recording attainment levels using our internal reporting system
• Deliver engaging sessions to support a range of learning styles
• Drive measurable outcomes from each session to measure impact
• Work collaboratively with educational/care stakeholders ensuring student support.
• Working in accordance with the KCSIE and safeguarding guidelines.

Desired experience:

• Experienced in tutoring one to one or small groups of pupils who require additional educational or pastoral support
• Experience in taking supervision and correction constructively
• Experience working in inclusion units, special settings or alternative provisions
• Experience in working with students with SEN, children with undiagnosed SEN, disengaged young people or looked after children

Pay scale: £20.00 – £25.00 P.A.Y.E
