Wind & Solar Engineer opportunity Manchester based offering £55000 – £70000 plus package and bonus. Your new companyYou will be joining a leading technical consultancy. Their purpose is to facilitate the investment and delivery of energy infrastructure projects that positively influence the energy transition. Their Engineers and Consultants support some of the most innovative energy projects across the UK and Ireland; providing design, intellectual, and engineering services to developers, investors, and owner-operators.What you’ll need to succeed

• A good science or engineering-based degree
• Project management experience gained with the development and construction or operational phases of large-scale wind energy projects (on and offshore)
• Previous experience of using industry standard software to make wind resource and energy yield assessments
• Prior experience with the undertaking of feasibility studies and design reviews
• significant project management experience gained during the development, construction or operational phases of large-scale solar farm energy projects
• experience in the financing of renewable energy projects, ideally including technical due diligence exposure
• Good understanding of the key technical risks with wind or solar projects, including the ability to identify potential technical design or installation risks
• Technical due diligence experience ideally gained when working on behalf of a financial institution
• Knowledge of standard forms of contract and their applicability to the construction and renewable energy project sector
• The ability to correctly interpret engineering drawings, models, specifications and functional descriptions
• Prior experience with the preparation of high-quality technical reports and models for clients
• The ability to evaluate, explain and simplify complex technical issues
• Able and willing to travel in the UK, Republic of Ireland and occasionally further afield for client meetings, site visits, factory tests, etc
