Youth Engagement Leader
The North York Moors National Park Education Service have an exciting opening for a Youth Engagement Leader, funded until March 2022.
You will work with the Youth Engagement Officer to connect young people to the North York Moors National Park through outdoor learning experiences including wild skills, conservation tasks and residentials, as well as delivering green careers assemblies. You will develop links with schools, local authority youth services, third sector youth organisations, pupil referral services and alternative education provision services to promote these opportunities.
We are seeking a flexible, enthusiastic communicator with experience of delivering programmes of youth engagement, who will inspire the younger generation about the North York Moors National Park. You will have good organisational skills and be able to work to deadlines and prioritise a busy workload effectively.
Generation Green is a project hosted by YHA set to create opportunities for thousands of young people to connect with nature through new jobs, training, volunteering roles, residential and outdoor learning experiences. The project is run by the Access Unlimited coalition supported by a c.£2.5 million Green Recioery Challenge Fund* The coalition comprises YHA (England & Wales), The Outward Bound Trust, Scouts, Girl Guiding, Field Studies Council and the 10 English National Parks.
* The £2,543,602 grant has been awarded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund on behalf of the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra).
