Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for a Health & Safety Manager to work with one of our Housing Association clients in South London.
Supporting the delivery of the Health & Safety management strategic plan and to deputise for the Head of Health & Safety.
To act as the lead person for liaison between client and the Health & Safety enforcing agencies.
To assist the Head of Health & Safety and to direct the other members of the Health & Safety team to resolve key issues identified.
To advise on and devise Health & Safety management solutions across the clients stock, taking the lead on the most complex cases, and liaise with other professional and legislative bodies to explore and resolve Health & Safety related issues in the most cost effective and efficient manner.
Deliver and monitor the daily resources and requirements of Health & Safety contracts/programmes managed by the Health & Safety team and raise outstanding issues to the Head of Health and Safety and the Fire Safety Team once they become apparent.
Continually improve performance and assist the Head of Health and Safety and other managers to ensure client achieves compliance with all applicable statutory requirements.
To provide an advisory service to staff, colleagues and Senior Management on Health & Safety related issues. Acting as an advisor and champion of best practice in the creation and interpretation of all Health & Safety policies and procedures, ensuring consistency of approach and effective monitoring across all directorates.
Undertake reviews and analyses and produce written and statistical reports for the health & safety committee as required and ensure data is collected and maintained.
Maintain excellent customer service in all areas of work
Take responsibility for own learning and development
Comply with all clients policies, including contractual standing orders, financial regulations and all HR policies and procedures including Health & Safety and Equality & Diversity
To use a flexible and engaging coaching style of management to support and develop colleagues for the benefit of the individual, service and organisation
