Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for a Health & Safety Manager to work with one of our Housing Association clients in South London.

• Supporting the delivery of the Health & Safety management strategic plan and to deputise for the Head of Health & Safety.
• To act as the lead person for liaison between client and the Health & Safety enforcing agencies.
• To assist the Head of Health & Safety and to direct the other members of the Health & Safety team to resolve key issues identified.
• To advise on and devise Health & Safety management solutions across the clients stock, taking the lead on the most complex cases, and liaise with other professional and legislative bodies to explore and resolve Health & Safety related issues in the most cost effective and efficient manner.
• Deliver and monitor the daily resources and requirements of Health & Safety contracts/programmes managed by the Health & Safety team and raise outstanding issues to the Head of Health and Safety and the Fire Safety Team once they become apparent.
• Continually improve performance and assist the Head of Health and Safety and other managers to ensure client achieves compliance with all applicable statutory requirements.
• To provide an advisory service to staff, colleagues and Senior Management on Health & Safety related issues. Acting as an advisor and champion of best practice in the creation and interpretation of all Health & Safety policies and procedures, ensuring consistency of approach and effective monitoring across all directorates.
• Undertake reviews and analyses and produce written and statistical reports for the health & safety committee as required and ensure data is collected and maintained.
• Maintain excellent customer service in all areas of work
• Take responsibility for own learning and development
• Comply with all clients policies, including contractual standing orders, financial regulations and all HR policies and procedures including Health & Safety and Equality & Diversity
• To use a flexible and engaging coaching style of management to support and develop colleagues for the benefit of the individual, service and organisation
