Our client, who are based in North Lincolnshire, are seeking a 2nd Line Engineer to start immediately for an initial period of 2 months, to support them with IT Support on the general Microsoft Stack. This would be inside IR35. Working Hours are 8:30 – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, Business Dress is required, with dress down on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 2nd line support to resolve IT incidents and service requests promptly and efficiently.
Utilize Fresh Service, our ITSM tool, to log, track, and manage all support tickets effectively.
Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Microsoft Server, Sharepoint, M365, and other relevant technologies.
Ensure compliance with site protocols and adhere to required PPE guidelines while moving through the oil refinery site.
Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach when interacting with end-users and stakeholders.
Attend to any additional tasks or responsibilities as directed by the IT Manager.
The Person:
Proven experience in providing 2nd line IT support, preferably in a similar environment.
Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack, including MS Server, Sharepoint, M365, etc.
Familiarity with ITSM tools, preferably Fresh Service, to manage support tickets efficiently.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Availability to start immediately and commit to a 2-month duration, with the possibility of extension.
