We have a fantastic opportunity for a 3rd Line IT Support Engineer to join our client in Chippenham on a permanent basis, This role comes with flexible working from home available.

Main Duties
* Act as highest technical escalation point for the Service Desk Engineers
* Resolve complex technical issues related including root cause analysis
* Mentor more junior technical team members to upskill team capability
* Own the technical knowledge base, writing and reviewing knowledge articles to ensure technical accuracy
* Review requests for change and provide technical approval
* Implement assigned project work packages to a high standard against agreed dates
* Take technical ownership of P1 incidents to ensure a rapid restoration of service
* Own the design and implementation of Service Improvement initiatives
Essentials Skills
* Exceptional customer service skills and telephone manner
* 3 years’ experience working on a service desk
* Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019
* Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
* Office 365 & Azure (migration, deployment management)
* Managing wired & wireless networks, including Switches, Routers, Firewalls (including VLANs, STP, LACP)
* Secure networking, VPNs, ACL, IPS, IDS
* Technical backup and disaster recovery
Desirable Skills
* Microsoft Azure/Office 365/Modern Desktop certifications
* Experience with VMware/Hyper-V hypervisors
* Microsoft Security (EMS, ATP, Intune)
Salary
£30,000 – £40,000 dependent on experience
Notes
37.5 hours a week Mon-Fri, due to the nature of the job some work at weekends and outside of normal hours may be required. Travel to customer sites will be required so a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
This role requires a DBS and BPSS check.
