Specifics of the role –

Purchase Ledger

• Receive, receipt and record (on ledger) all supplier, subcontractor, material and other invoices.• Review suitability of all invoices for payment approval by the Directors.• Resolve any anomalies, where incorrect information is recorded on invoices.• Set – up any required direct debits and record actual and accrual values.• Ensure any direct debit charges (including Barclaycard) are correct and accounted for.• Archive all invoices on Interkey shared drive (One Drive) by way of scanned copies of originals.• Process all labour only contractors’ invoices and record CIS deduction (report these weekly to BPSL).• Post all transaction details on to the Sage accounting system.• Ensure all nominal and other coding is correct.• Ensure any changes to the coding architecture are administered correctly.

Sales Ledger

• Raise all projects and works invoices and applications in accordance with client agreements.• Record and post all value to Sage.• Process any intercompany payments and invoices.• Archive to One Drive scanned or original copies of invoices.• Monitor debtors ledger and chase payment when overdue.

Payments

• Make payments to subcontractors and suppliers on the correct terms.• Make adhoc profoma payments when requested but only if approved by Directors.• Ensure payment are only made after they have been approved by the Directors.• Validate any Direct Debit payment are correct and accounted for, resolve any anomalies with vendor.• Make all CIS, VAT, Corporation Tax and NI payments after notification of amounts from.• Process and validate any employee and Director’s expense claims and make payment when due.

Experience and Requirements

• JNC experience will be advantageous but not necessary (Training provided)• Microsoft Excel; Word and PowerPoint experience required• Sage experience required• Experience of working in a finance department required• Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred• AAT qualified or studier also preferred
