This Canadian law firm is looking to bring a new Accounts Coordinator on board to work very closely with the London Partners on all day-to-day transactional and operational finance functions.
Our client is looking to hire a legal Accounts Coordinator to deal with accounts payable, accounts receivable and general cashiering duties. This Accounts Coordinator position offers a FTE salary of circa £45,000 dependent on experience plus benefits with stunning offices based in the City. The London office operates on full time on site basis and the core hours are 9.30-5.30 however there can be some flexibility with start / finish times. The position is being recruited on a 4 day week with the potential to move to 5 days full time in the future.
Reporting directly into the Office Manager, the Accounts Coordinator will ensure the coordination and processing of all daily transactional finance functions. Duties include;
Entering invoices into 3E and Chrome River
Print daily bank statements and enter all payments into system for daily reconciliations to send to Canadian based Accounts department
Carry out transfers and vendor payments to the bank
Enter Partners expenses and make payments
Enter Barclaycard credit card expenses and handle statements
Pay Partner drawings each month (from spreadsheet sent from Canada – no calculations required)
Complete inter office transfers each month – (from spreadsheet sent from Canada – no calculations required)
Allocate incoming client funds received for bills in line with SRA
Help with collections in terms of attending meetings; keeping up to date spreadsheet of collections
Assist with monthly payroll administration for the London office
Assist with ad hoc projects throughout the year
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a firm and grow with the London office. We are looking for candidates with current strong legal accounting experience, preferably minimum five years generalist accounts payable and receivable experience within law firm. Additional candidates should also possess;
Good knowledge of SRA guidelines
Strong knowledge of legal accounting software, preferably Elite 3E
Excellent time management and organisation skills, and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple deadlines
Ability to solve problems on an immediate basis and work using initiative
Ability to demonstrate a flexible and hands-on attitude
