Reed are delighted to be advertising a great opportunity for an Accounts Payable & Charging Team Leader!

Based in Bromley, Hybrid, Permanent Full time (37hrs) paying £32,051

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Direct leadership of a team of 5-6 Charging officers including conducting the team meetings and 1-2-1 performance reviews. Supervision of Accounts Payable Officers as part of a wider management team.
• To monitor and manage performance against service level agreements ensuring policy, procedures and controls are being adhered to meet deliverable dates.
• To deal with charging and payment related processing and enquiries from client departments, providers and suppliers.
• To take responsibility for more complex areas of works with the area.
• To deliver training and maintaining up-to-date working procedures.
• To attend management meeting and meetings with Clients and other external organisations
• To produce monthly reporting information.
• To support Line manager and service line initiatives and strategy

Essential Skills and Attributes:

• Management experience in an environment requiring high volume, accurate and time critical responses to matters relating to customer’s charges and payments.
• Experience of using performance and workflow management tools
• Educated to GCSE level or above with English and Maths of Grade C or above
• Experience in working in an customer accounts area where account management and account reconciliations are key tasks
• Working in a financial assessment or charging and billing team for local authority clients would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of using ContrOCC and Oracle Fusion would be an advantage
• Good IT skills encompassing the ability to use Microsoft Excel at Intermediate level, Word, Access and Outlook
• Excellent time management and organisation skills with the ability to consistently meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and able to work to a high degree of accuracy
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• Customer focused
