Suffolk County Council are currently looking for a Administration Manager to join our Safety, Health and Wellbeing team based in Endeavour House, Ipswich. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week (part time working considered) and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £30,151 per annum (pro rata for part time). About the Administration Manager role: The role of the Administration Manager to the Suffolk County Council (SCC), Safety, Health and Wellbeing team is extremely varied and interesting. It underpins the successful delivery and support of day-to-day Health and Safety activities across all SCC Directorates. This role is pivotal to the successful continuous improvement to the Safety, Health and Wellbeing (SHAW) culture within Suffolk County Council and links to our staff values and behavioral standards. As part of our flexible working arrangements, hybrid working with a blended mix of office working and home working is encouraged. Responsibilites of our Administration Manager: Management and provision of an efficient and comprehensive administrative or specialist support service underpinning the delivery of services across all Suffolk County Council (SCC) Directorates within the Safety, Health and Wellbeing team and to support the day-to-day activities of the head of Health and Safety Undertake the daily management and lead the service delivery of all contracts relating to the EVOLVE service including liaising with Schools Choice, schools and other service providers on financial and service provision issues and queries Develop, maintain, and monitor the H and S Incident Reporting platform and submissions to ensure the data is both captured correctly but also correlated through the H and S Dashboard Single point of contact for all matters relating to health and safety incident reporting through Oracle Fusion and data capture of all Safety, Health and Wellbeing (SHAW) data relating to incidents and near miss incidents Responsible for budgetary management and enhanced contract revenue opportunities. The team The Safety, Health and Wellbeing team provides advice and support for teams, managers, and senior leadership across the organisation on all aspects of safety, health and wellbeing, including the provision of training on a variety of relevant subjects We work in a collaborative way and support one another as part of our daily tasks/functions. Travel and workplace requirements We positively encourage the use of technology to communicate, but on occasions, there may be a requirement for you to travel to locations away from your contractual base, using reasonable and suitable means available to you.
