Administrator / Support Services Administrative Assistant with experience of working as a Personal Assistant, Secretary and/or in Administration, who has good IT, organisational and communication skills is required to join our team at Swalcliffe Park School. SALARY: £21,968 – £25,409 per annum pro rata + Benefits. JOB OVERVIEW We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Administrator in Support Services with experience of working as a Personal Assistant, Secretary and/or in Administration, who has good IT, organisational and communication skills. Swalcliffe Park School provides specialist residential education and care for up to 70 secondary aged boys (10-19 yrs) all of whom are on the Autism Spectrum. Working as an Administrator in Support Services you will help provide additional professional and efficient administrative support to the HR & Compliance Manager and the CEO, Principal and Vice Principals of the school and provide administrative capacity in the Administration Team. DUTIES Your duties as an Administrator include: In conjunction with the HR & Compliance Manager: Ensuring the Safer Recruitment policy and procedure is followed and appropriate gatekeeping is in place, preventing unsuitable people gaining employment with the school, thus protecting students Ensuring the mandatory training matrices are maintained and gaps in mandatory training addressed by staff Support processes that enable and maintain student placements Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety requirements of the Support Services teams ensuring risk assessments and safe methods of working are appropriately utilised Applying the policies, procedures and practice for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children are implemented effectively within Support Services Liaise with parents, where appropriate, under the direction of the CEO, Principal or Vice Principals Assist with the production of organisational, internal and statutory documents in a timely manner Support the HR & Compliance Manager with providing best practice and innovative HR transactional and management services for the school Support the HR & Compliance Manager in keeping the statutorily required Single Central Register up to date and legally compliant Support the HR & Compliance Manager in processing Disclosure & Barring Service Checks and Update Checks for staff; keeping the checks within KCSIE timescales Support the HR & Compliance Manager in maintaining the mandatory training matrices and helping identify training renewal needs for staff Collaborate the HR & Compliance Manager and Finance team in helping to make the best use of the Access HR Education system in terms of transactional processing, production of HR metrics and reports Work collaboratively and co-operatively with the wider school team Share appropriate information with others, within Data Protection guidelines, and with the consent of the relevant party CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Minimum GCSE level Education (or equivalent) including Maths, English Language (A -C/grade 4 or equivalent) Experience of working as a Personal Assistant, Secretary and/or Administrator (essential) Worked in an educational setting day and/or residential (desirable) Worked as part of our staff team in a flexible and professional manner (essential) Have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to colleagues, parents, students, governors and external agencies (essential) Proficient IT, administrative and self-organisation skills, ability to use own initiative, have attention to detail and work at pace and confidentially A car driver and access to car for work purposes (essential) This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
