Adobe Experience Manager Developer/Consultant – 100% remote working

My client seeks a highly skilled AEM Developer/Consultant to join their team and contribute to the development of high-value websites.

Responsibilities

• Build visually appealing Front End components for integration into web pages or other contexts using HTML/CSS/JavaScript in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) as a component.
• Develop branding layers CSS for existing markup to ensure consistency and adherence to our brand guidelines.
• Implement functionality using JavaScript to enhance user interactions and improve website performance.
• Prepare components for seamless integration and deployment within Adobe Experience Manager.
• Write code following high accessibility standards to ensure inclusive and accessible user experiences.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to work within a component-based system.
• Conduct Front End testing to ensure the quality and stability of developed components.
• Leverage your knowledge of complex Front End build systems to optimize performance and efficiency.
• Apply modern best practices around profiling and measurement to continuously improve website performance.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of writing safe code from a cyber security perspective.
• Utilize IDEs such as VSCode to streamline development processes.
• Utilize Git for version control and be familiar with various branching methodologies.
• Experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence to track and document project progress.
• Thrive in a tightly controlled technical environment, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.

Skills & Experience

• Highly experienced in HTML5, CSS3/SASS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+) with proficiency in associated build tooling.
• Proven ability to write code to high accessibility standards, ensuring inclusive user experiences.
• Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is highly beneficial, although exposure to other enterprise CMS platforms is also valuable.
• Comfortable with writing Front End tests to ensure the stability and functionality of components.
• Knowledge of complex Front End build systems and the ability to optimize performance.
• Familiarity with modern best practices around profiling and measurement to drive continuous improvement.
• Understanding of writing safe code from a cyber security perspective, prioritizing data protection and privacy.
• Proficient in using and setting up IDEs such as VSCode for efficient development workflows.
• Excellent Git knowledge and experience with various branching methodologies.
• Strong experience using tools like Jira and Confluence for project management and collaboration.
• Prior experience working in a tightly controlled technical environment, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
