Application Support Engineer – Bolton – 6 Month contract – Inside IR35

I am looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer to join a manufacturing client for an initial 6 -month engagement.

My customer is on the lookout for an Application Support Engineer that can support and maintain applications built on various versions of VB (Visual Basic) – (VB.NET, C#, C++ experience will be considered)

Please note this Application Support Engineer role is Inside IR35 and will be on site 3 days a week in Bolton and 2 days’ work from home.

Most of the work will be maintaining and supporting current systems but the business is implementing a new ERP system in the very near future and so some fresh integration/development work will be required.

Primary day to day responsibilities will for the Application Support Engineer will include:

• Previous experience as an Application Support Engineer
• Supporting applications (VB – Visual Basic); VB.NET, C# and C++ will also be considered.
• Documentation experience would be highly beneficial.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing/retail environment desirable
• SQL Server/MySQL
• Inside IR35

This Application Support Engineer role is hybrid, and you will be required on site 3 days a week in Bolton and then 2 days a week from home.
