Assistant Finance Business Partner We have an excellent opportunity for a highly professional individual with a strong customer service ethic to join a busy Finance Department, as Finance Business Partner. Position: Assistant Finance Business Partner Location: Devon/Hybrid (onsite attendance currently anticipated to be 2 days per week.) Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week, 08.30-16.30, Monday-Friday (part time working, a minimum of 3 days per week, would be considered) Salary: £31,200 per annum Contract: Permanent Benefits: Generous annual leave, pension scheme, Healthshield plan, confidential counselling service, subsidised restaurant, free parking, enhanced maternity/paternity benefits, Life Assurance Scheme, 31 day s holiday per year, inclusive of the 8 statutory public holidays. This increases by one day each year until a maximum of 34 days is reached. Closing Date: 7th June 2023 The Role As Finance Business Partner, you will provide comprehensive analysis of European operations, IPP (International Programmes and Partnerships) and PACT (Policy, Advocacy, Campaigns and Tactical Response) functions and be responsible for monthly and year-end accounting. You will be responsible for building and maintaining effective relationships with operational managers across the organisation, improving the impact and understanding, of financial reporting on charity performance and delivering insight that links financial reports to business strategies. Your principal duties and responsibilities will include: Assisting with management of all aspects of European operations, IPP & PACT functions and monthly reporting, interpreting trends and variances from budgets and forecasts with a view to providing timely and meaningful insight into monthly management accounts. Management of the General Ledger and Project Ledger connected with European operations, IPP & PACT functions, ensuring data is accurate, up to date and consistent. The production of monthly management accounts for European operations, IPP & PACT functions. Providing a finance partnering function for European operations, IPP & PACT, giving advice and support as required to cost centre managers and subsidiary/branch contacts. The provision and presentation of high-quality management accounting data, reports and advice to stakeholders across The Donkey Sanctuary group. The smooth running of budgeting and forecasting processes giving advice and support to cost centre managers and subsidiary/branch contacts, ensuring alignment with Financial Accounting systems and processes. About You As Finance Business Partner, you will: Be qualified AAT or part qualified CIMA, or willing to study for an equivalent qualification. Be able to demonstrate competent experience in the analysis, interpretation and reporting of high volumes of complex financial data. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to flex and adapt communication to suit a wide range of audiences. Have extensive post-qualification experience in a management accounting role and a documented CPD track record. Have experience of working in a computerised accounting system and knowledge of Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.
