Automation Tester: Katalon Studio

My client are looking to take on 2 x Automation Testers to join their team on a 12-month Fixed-term contract basis with possibility of extension/going permanent at the end of this period. The role will be mainly home based with a requirement to be able to travel to Bristol as needed up to once a week but more likely far less than this.

You will be working on a mixture of Automation and Manual Testing (split 70/30 in favour of automation) focussed on functional testing of UI and integration. You will be using Katalon Studio and Azure DevOps to test systems which form the foundation of everything this organisation does, both internal and external facing, built predominantly in Low-code/No-code technologies using Power Platform/SharePoint/Dynamics/Azure with some minor C# customisations, but only where absolutely required.

Many of the testers in the organisations act as Scrum Master as well, so although this is ABSOLUTELY NOT REQUIRED, should you wish to gain training/certification/experience in Scrum Mastery to add another “string to your bow” or even make a career change from testing to Scrum Mastery on a gradual basis without taking a step down initially, this would be a great opportunity for you!

What we offer
– Salary of £32,000 – £42,000pa
– EXTREMELY generous pension scheme (20%+ contribution from them!)
– Hybrid working: officially a day or so per week in Bristol, but you would only be expected to come onsite as required and this tends to be more like once a month or so in actuality
– Microsoft training/certifications fully paid for (WHETHER RELEVANT TO YOUR ROLE OF NOT!) with diarised study time each week
– Opportunity to transition to Scrum Master if desired (not required)

Essential Skillset/Experience
– Strong Automation testing experience
– Functional Testing (User Interface and Integration testing)
– Very strong preference for Katalon Studio, but other tools such as Selenium considered
– Agile/Scrum

Desirable Skillset/Experience
– Experience testing Low-code/No-code platforms
– M365: Power Platform/Azure/Dynamics/SharePoint
– Azure DevOps
– Testing certifications: ISTQB/ISEB
– Agile/Scrum certifications: Scrum Master/Product Owner/Agile practitioner etc
