Budget Support Assistant

Full-time

£21,589 – £23,836 per year

Dudley

Purpose of the job:

To provide a range of financial and technical support relative to the construction and maintenance works.

Key responsibilities:

To raise requisition orders for internal and external suppliers.
To monitor Official Purchase Orders (OPO’s) ensuring that the payments and transactions are recorded and closed on completion.
Liaise with the Finance Management Team.
To ensure that details of contracts and contractors are correctly entered, recorded, and updated.
To ensure that all payments are processed, and contract certificates are raised.
To monitor and record all payments in regard to timescales, run dates and deadlines, ensuring that this is correctly communicated to officers.
To ensure that TAX/VAT and financial codes are correctly allocated to payments.
To monitor and assist in the control of budgets and expenditure.
To support the Budget Control Officer and Principal Accountant.
To interrogate and input data into financial management systems.
To manipulate specialist ICT data and assist in the production of financial reports.
To provide support and assistance in administration of the Procurement and tendering services.
