What we are looking for
We are looking for a Building Surveyor to join our fantastic Independent Living Service delivering Disabled Facility and Minor Adaptation Grants. We need someone who shares our values, commitment and motivation to make a difference for our customers in the districts.
About the role
You will:
be a specialist for both councils to undertake and deliver surveys, reports, studies, designs and contracts for the delivery of Disabled Facility and Minor Adaptation Grants
lead on projects including specifying, tendering and managing contracts or works
become the main point of contact for grant applicants and be able to provide high levels of support, advice and knowledge throughout the process and the completion of the grant.
About you
You will ideally hold a relevant qualification in building surveying or construction-related discipline or have recent experience in a similar role.
Knowledge and understanding of Disabled Facility Grants would be beneficial, applicants without this would need to have the desire to undertake training in this area.
You will need to be able to prioritise work and demands placed upon you as you deliver a high-quality customer-focused service.
The role will require travel to, customers’ homes and other sites on a regular basis, therefore a full driver’s licence and use of own car is essential.
