Location: The role supports one of our top-tier banking clients in London (Canary Wharf), with on-site presence. This is a permanent position based in the UK. For this role we do not offer visa sponsorship. We will only consider applicants who reside and have the right to work in the UK. Successful Candidates will Possess: University degree (Engineering, Finance, Management). A CFA or FRM accreditation is desirable. Investment Banking product knowledge across asset classes (e.g. derivatives, FX, SFTs) Finance – capital or liquidity reporting (COREP, LCR, NSFR etc) would be beneficial. 8-10 years of relevant work experience in investment banking, working for leading financial institutions and/or a Big 4 consulting firm as a (senior) manager. Experience with cross-functional / business delivery, ideally with data-intensive program/project management experience. Ability to drive multiple programs simultaneously and plan / prioritize appropriately. Strong and demonstrated execution skills with a proven track record of operating transformation environment including process and technology change management. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify key issues, gather data to investigate those issues and develop actionable recommendations. Project Management and Business Analysis experience and ability to break complex problems into bitesize chunks. A working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Project. Excellent documentation, presentation (PowerPoint) and story-telling skills. Experience in engaging with data analytics and cross functional data intensive projects. Ability to handle complexity, ambiguity and a fast changing, often demanding work environment. Working with huge data sets ( 1M records) for root cause investigation / analysis. Roles & Responsibilities Support, facilitate and strengthen the Issue Management, Data Sourcing and Compliance process across Finance, including the establishment of key documentation and controls as budget allows for Working across teams to articulate issue facts, materiality, impact and track direct benefits. Facilitating the UK issue remediation process by hosting and facilitating conference calls amongst SMEs required to drive items to closure. Tracking, adjudication, and reporting of Data Quality issues Prepare materials for working group meetings including status updates and implementation planning. Work across control functions to support the implementation of policies, standards and processes required as part of the governance framework. Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document business needs, objectives, and processes related to banking and financial services. Conduct interviews, workshops, and data analysis to elicit requirements and identify areas for improvement. Data Analysis: Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Use statistical and analytical techniques to draw insights and provide recommendations for process optimization, risk mitigation, and performance improvement. Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and pain points in existing processes and systems. Design and implement streamlined workflows, automation solutions, and operational improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer experience. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with relevant regulations, policies, and industry standards pertaining to banking and financial services. Ensure compliance in business processes, systems, and reporting to mitigate risks and maintain regulatory adherence. Solution Design: Collaborate with IT teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications for system enhancements, software development, or vendor selection. Provide guidance and support during the implementation phase, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including business users, management, and external partners. Communicate effectively to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure that project objectives are understood and achieved. Business Performance Monitoring: Develop and implement performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes. Monitor and report on KPIs to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations. Risk Assessment: Identify and assess risks associated with business processes, systems, and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with risk management teams to develop mitigation strategies and ensure adherence to internal controls and risk management frameworks
