The Role We are on the search for a Buyer with knowledge and experience within HVAC, Plumbing and Pipeline industry. This would be the perfect role for someone looking to step into a more senior buying position with a company who continues to grow whilst developing their team. The role includes vary responsibilites reporting to the Procurement Manager; these tasks include: Better buying across the group structure Review and approve purchase orders throughout the group Undertaking reactive and planned purchases of equipment, tools, PPE, spare parts, uniform. Negotiation of discounts & improved terms (payment/credit) with supply chain partners across the group structure Dealing with supply chain queries around account status Preparation and issue of subcontract agreement(s) to supply chain partners General administrative tasks to ensure internal processes are followed and results are visible to wider businesses. Maintenance of record-keeping within the group subcontractor/supplier matrix. Essential requirements Industry/sector knowledge of purchasing M&E and/or HVAC products and services in a previous role. Comfortable in communicating effectively with external supply chain partners and internally with colleagues at all levels throughout the business. Computer and data literate with experience in fully utilising Microsoft packages Desirable requirements Previous experience in supply chain management or a procurement role would be beneficial. Interest in undertaking their MCIPS qualification or similar. Experience in buying non-core products, sundries and services to assist wider business operations. Experience in using financial management software and CAFM systems. Experience in preparing, issuing and negotiating contract documentation.
