Care and support worker- Coneygear court Permanent Part time 15 Hours per week. We are currently looking for passionate, caring individual who wants to progress their career in supported housing or take the first step into this fulfilling area. The salary for this role is £20,319 pro rata which equates to £10.35 per hour (not including annual leave). Hours – 15 Hours The hours are spread over a 4-weekly rota. You will need to work 2 days per week on a rota including every 4th weekend (Saturday and Sunday) along with working some bank holidays. The Role You will be joining our team supporting families and single adults who live at our Temporary Shared Homelessness Service in Huntingdon. Some of our customers require an understanding of the long-term effects of homelessness on both their physical and mental health. Your role will be to provide customers with support to address their individual needs which can vary from health, education, benefits, manage their housing options so that can prepare to move on successfully into their own tenancies. and work closely with the local authority who nominate the customers for the service. You will create person centred supports plans and risk assessments and review them monthly with customers. You will need a knowledge of Microsoft Word and be able to confidently maintain daily running logs and liaise with MTVH income and repairs team and external agencies. To meet our commitment to providing safe, high-quality services to our customers we will complete an enhanced background check with the Disclosure and Barring service, which will include a check of the Adult Barred list, once an offer of employment is made. What you need to succeed To be successful in this role. Previous experience is ideal, and we are seeking individuals who can provide a caring and supportive service to our customers with respect. You will demonstrate you understand what good support looks like which is appropriate to the age, gender, disability, race, religion, and sexuality of the customer to maintain their independence and successfully move on.To meet our commitment to providing safe, high-quality services to our customers we will complete an enhanced background check with the Disclosure and Barring service, which will include a check of the Enhanced Adult & Child Barred list once an offer of employment is made.
