My Surrey based public sector client is looking for an experienced Category Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of Procurement and working on the IT, digital and data category, your role will be pivotal to developing and delivering the category strategy as well as managing end to end procurement projects.
Working as part of a large procurement team, and on high value and complex IT procurement projects, you will take the lead in managing stakeholder requirements and expectations as well as working in collaboration in order to deliver the best outcome and savings. You will also develop specification of requirements, manage framework agreements and identify the best route to market for procurement requirements.
In order to be successful in the role you will need to have a background in public sector procurement and have managed high value procurement projects via the PCR 2015 and FTS route. You will also need to have a background in IT or professional services procurement.
This role is being offered on a permanent basis with 2 days a week in the office. The salary on offer is circa £50,000.
