Job Description

We are urgently seeking to recruit experienced Community Nurses (CNs) of all specialities to place for various ad-hoc and short to long term assignments to suit in NHS hospitals across the UK. The CN will be responsible for providing highly skilled nursing care to the residents and patients in that locality ,promoting the health of the population and reducing the effects of ill health and disability and maximising the individual s potential for independence .

The CN is expected to work closely with General Practices, Social Services, and other statutory and non-statutory services to meet the needs of the local population using public health information to support service development.

The CN should also be able to Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients, Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing and monitor of patients’ health through observing and assessing their records, symptoms, and reactions to treatment and care

Nurse Skills and Qualifications:

• Registration as a Registered General Nurse or Similar Qualifications.
• Current Registration With the NMC;
• IV Skills, Including Syringe Driver Training and Venepuncture
• Training; At Least 1 Year Nursing Experience;
• Experience Recording Accurate Records;
• Ability to Work as Part of a Team;
• Must be able to cope with interruptions from Phone calls, bleeps, and queries from Impromptu advice.
• Must be able to cope with physical demands of the post e.g. manual handing , prolonged standing, moving and use of equipment s.
• Supportive and Motivated;
• Great Communication Skills;
• Mentorship Skills;
• Computer Literate;
• Ability to Cope in a Crisis; and support other team members in management of challenging patients.
• Ability to Demonstrate Ethical Values and Ongoing Professional and Personal Growth;

• Nurse Job Duties:

• Provide care to patients and residents based on their care plan outlined by their doctor.
• Accurately monitor and record observations on patients’ conditions
• Maintain accurate records of residents care, financial procedures, and medication administration.
• Identify care planning needs.
• Carry out risk assessment.
• Record patients’ vital signs and medical information
• Re-evaluate patient care plan as conditions change.
• Consult and coordinate with other healthcare team members.
• Direct or supervise less experienced nursing staff.
• Monitor patients’ diet and exercise.
• Prepare patients and assist with treatments, surgery, or exams as needed.
• Manage stocks of supplies
• Ensure storage and disposal of medication is carried out according to policy.
• Participate in clinical improvements and offer ideas on clinical and non-clinical policies.
• Assist with the investigation of complaints by patients or family members.
• Maintain continuing education and licensing requirements.
• Report any issues that arose during each shift.
