Sewell Wallis are delighted to be partnering with a hugely successful firm of Accountants in Leeds who are looking to recruit a Compliance Senior Accountant into their team.Our client is looking for an ambitious individual with a background within Practice and ideally you will be ACA / ACCA qualified with a strong background in statutory accounts preparation.Working closely with the year end Accounts Manager and Directors, your responsibilities will include:-Preparing year end accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited CompaniesAssisting in the training and development of junior staff members through mentoring, coaching and providing technical guidanceReviewing the work of junior staff members and ensure that review points are clearly fed backContributing to weekly team meetings to discuss client deadlines, workload/planner and billing targetsAttending client meetings, building excellent working relationships and actively highlighting any cross-selling opportunities for the wider GroupAssisting with the ongoing review and improvement of internal processes and proceduresRequirementsIdeally ACA / ACCA qualified although QBE’s will be consideredSolid experience within PracticeStrong communication and presentation skillsAbility to work with clients across all levels and experience in building strong client relationshipsExperience of mentoring junior team membersThe role is based in the office 4 days a week with 1 day WFH.To apply please send your CV, quoting our reference and specifying which website you saw this position advertised on.
