An experienced construction industry specific Training Coordinator is requried to join a leading construction utilities firm based in the Hatfield area of Welwyn Garden City, on a full time, permanent basis. Training Coordinators are responsible for managing, designing, developing, coordinating and conducting all training programs. The ideal candidate will have experience with various training methods, including on-the-job coaching, mentorship programs and e-learning.

Training Coordinator Position Overview

• Report on attendance and non-attendance at scheduled courses
• Produce the Company’s training plan
• Maximise C.I.T.B grant levy returns
• Assist in identifying sources of funding and making any grant applications as required
• Maintain internal training budget recordsThe Training Coordinator will prepare, coordinate, evaluate and document training activities across the Company to ensure that statutory and core training is delivered to support the business and contract compliance.
• Support the Training Department to ensure all employee records are kept up to date and training needs met
• Source and organise internal and external training programmes
• Ensure a full and comprehensive onboarding service is provided to all workers that includes appropriate induction for the various job disciplines, background checks, competency assessment and gap analysis takes place
• Update and maintain accurate employee training records in accordance with the training matrices using the relevant HR Training database in place
• Stay informed of relevant skill and qualification levels required by employees for effective performance, circulate requirements and relevant information to Company Directors / Managers as appropriate
• Identify / assess training requirements for employees in consultation with Directors / Managers Produce relevant reports for line managers providing accurate information regarding competency expiries and refresher training where required/needed
• Provide support in the preparation of training materials, PowerPoint presentations and printing of resource materials
• Introduce new systems and procedures to improve performance/efficiency
• Establish and maintain relationships with external suppliers
• Organise training venues, logistics, transport, accommodation as required to achieve efficient training attendance and delivery

Previous training experience required within the construction sector Good Knowledge of Training Needs AnalysisExcellent prioritisation and organisational skills, able to work to deadlinesSelf-motivated, and able to work on own initiative; enthusiastic with ‘can do’ attitudeGood problem-solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentialityProficient in the use of Microsoft OfficeDriving License

Training Coordinator Position Remuneration

£28,000 per annum rising after probationHours 8am to 4pm or 8.30 – 4.30pm25 days leave (inc 3 days held for Xmas)Advo perks retail discounts3% Pension schemeParking on siteBased in Hatfield.
