Credit Controller London Competitive Salary Full time, Hybrid Working To strengthen our successful and growing finance department GLAS are looking to appoint an experienced Credit Controller, to take responsibility for the credit control function for the GLAS business. The Credit Controller will demonstrate tangible improvements to the GLAS cash collection and reporting processes achieved through the application of technology and increased leverage of key personnel within the business. Credit Controller Responsibilities Your responsibilities as Credit Controller will include to: Chase overdue debts and manage customer accounts, resolving issues as they arise Ensure cash receipts for core services are matched and posted promptly, overpayments and misallocations being resolved promptly Manage the credit control database, ensuring accuracy and completeness of invoicing and information Improve credit control procedures and reporting Prepare financial reports for the Board (monthly and weekly) including aged debtors and cash balances Maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and clients, escalating credit control issues as appropriate Work with other members of the finance team to ensure Credit Control matters are dealt with efficiently and promptly Review outstanding debts for collectability and provide as necessary Accounting support to finance team as required Experience and Qualifications We are looking for you to have strong credit control experience in a growing international business. Key skills and experience required are: At least three years experience in credit control in a commercial environment A tech savvy individual having demonstrated the development and improvement of credit control and related procedures Minimum of part qualified AAT with GCSE Mathematics and English Sound working knowledge of relevant double entry bookkeeping Strong communication and negotiation experience A high level of accuracy and attention to detail The ability to work effectively in a multi-ledger / currency international business on a hybrid basis Ability to work to tight deadlines Excellent computing skills including Outlook, Excel data manipulation (e.g. pivot tables, vlookup, sumif) and reporting using cloud-based accounting systems.
