Then we want to hear from you! An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Curriculum Leader to join our new school in Sutton, London. The new school will be a large independent specialist school for children and young people from the age of 5-19 for Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs You will be responsible to the Headteacher to provide professional leadership of the school’s curriculum. You will be expected to promote and support the progress of all young people to achieve the highest possible standards. You will have impact on educational progress beyond the assigned pupils you teach. Bright Futures, Inspired By You. The successful applicants will need to: Develop a creative and innovative approach to teaching and learning across the curriculum, with a particular focus on the core subjects, in order to raise attainment (whole school). Support the improvement of standards and achievement in all subjects across the school. Develop the work of teachers in order to improve outcomes and ensure continuity and progression Liaise with staff to ensure a relevant, cross-curricular and creative approach to curriculum delivery. Support the SLT in ensuring that the curriculum is relevant and best meets the needs of the young people including mapping the curriculum with EHCP outcomes to ensure outstanding progress for our young people. Working closely with the Director of Curriculum, create, implement and embed key strategic priorities around Quality of Education, assessment, teaching and learning and progress and share best practice with colleagues and within the wider organisation.About us: We take great satisfaction in being “good neighbours.” Horizon schools foster a healthy sense of community both inside and outside of their immediate surroundings.
