Job Title: Trust Data Manager
Reporting to: Trust Data Lead
Contract Basis Permanent, 0.5 FTE (probation period 6 months)
Location: flexible, with ability to travel intermittently as required
Salary: Band 3 National Pay scale £45,556 (£22,778 pro rata 0.5)
Overall Purpose of the Role:
This post sits within the national team at Aldridge Education and works with and for the Trust’s Data Lead. As an organization that values data and seeks to be evidence-based in all things, this post will involve a combination of working with data that supports Trust-wide activity along with supporting schools in a range of daily data activity. The postholder will support the Trust’s Data Lead to link all areas of Trust data and to standardize approaches to data collection and management informed by good practice. The postholder will ensure the integrity of the data in school’s Management Information System (MIS), employing a rigorous system of checks to identify issues and will work collaboratively with other teams to help improve data quality, consistency, and accuracy across key areas.

The post holder will be required to have a valid Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate and be part of the DBS Update Service. A clean DBS certificate is a requirement of this post.

Experience
Previous successful experience as a Data Manager in a school setting

Experience of working successfully with PowerBi with strong knowledge of this tool
X
Previous experience of using Bromcom fully at an advanced level
X
Good understanding of the education sector and its data, particularly relating to performance measures, attendance and exclusion data
X
Expertise around census requirements and submission, particularly sixth form aspects
X

Strong customer service approach, able to understand quickly what the need is and able to find solutions to issues arising

Able to self-manage, prioritise and work remotely, using time well and communicating well with colleagues to ensure strong partnership working despite remote working arrangements
