I’m looking for a Database Administrator to join a well-established technology services company, that provides innovative software and data solutions to their clients. The successful candidate must be eligible for SC (Security Clearance) as they will be working with highly sensitive data on central government projects. Role Responsibilities: Maintaining, developing and upgrading the company’s database solutions Administering and supporting Oracle, PostgreSQL and AWS Redshift Data Warehouse Managing database backup and recovery, capacity planning and performance tuning Providing technical support for applications that access databases Developing and implementing security measures to protect data from unauthorised access Skills/Experience Required: Proven experience in database administration, with a focus on Oracle and PostgreSQL Experience working with AWS Redshift Exposure to working in highly secure environments with sensitive data In-depth knowledge of backup, recovery and performance tuning Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3 and RDS Hands-on experience with SQL, Bash and Python scripting Has worked in a Cloud/DevOps environment We are looking for a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills, who can work independently or as part of a team. You will be joining a dynamic, fast-paced environment, working with high availability production and no-production databases. The salary ranges from £65-78,000 plus 25 days holiday, pension scheme, life assurance x4 and private medical insurance. This is a fully remote role with two annual meet-ups per year in Oxford.
